*** Vehicle versus motorcycle collision results in the rider sustaining life-threatening injuries***
On July 31, 2026, at approximately 10:03 p.m., a vehicle versus motorcycle life-threatening injury collision occurred on North Nellis Boulevard north of Cedar Avenue. Evidence at the scene indicated that a 2005 Honda VTX1300 was traveling southbound on North Nellis Boulevard approaching Cedar Avenue in the middle lane of three travel lanes. A 2019 Kia Optima was exiting a private drive eastbound to southbound North Nellis Boulevard north of Cedar Avenue. A collision occurred when the Kia failed to yield the right of way as it exited the private drive and entered the path of the motorcycle. The front of the motorcycle collided with the driver's side of the Kia.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene and transported the motorcycle rider to the University Medical Center. Medical Personnel determined that the rider sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Kia was also transported to the University Medical Center with minor injuries.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
