***Vehicle versus trailer and pedestrian collision that resulted in the pedestrian sustaining life-threatening injuries***

On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at approximately 07:37 am, a vehicle versus trailer and pedestrian collision occurred on East Mountridge Drive and North Hollywood Boulevard. Evidence at the scene, and statements from involved parties indicated that a 2015 Ford F-150 with attached landscape trailer was parked along the north curb of westbound East Mountridge Drive just east of North Hollywood Boulevard. Pedestrian #1 was on the left side of trailer removing landscaping equipment. Pedestrian #2 was retrieving equipment from within the trailer.  A 2017 Ford Transit van was westbound East Mountridge Drive east of North Hollywood Boulevard approaching the landscape trailer. A collision occurred when the Transit van drifted to the right and struck the left rear of the trailer with its right front. The Transit van then struck Pedestrian #1 projecting him onto the roadway before it came to a controlled stop. Pedestrian #2 received minor injuries as a result of the van striking the trailer while he was in it.

Emergency medical services responded to the collision scene and transported Pedestrian #1 to UMC Trauma. UMC medical personnel determined the pedestrian's injuries to be life-threatening.

The driver of the Transit van remained at the collision scene, showed no signs of impairment, and cooperated with the investigation.

This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
