Any person who meets the following criteria may apply to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for a concealed firearm permit.

You May Apply If:
- You are a Clark County resident (Nevada residents must reside in Clark County)
- You are an out-of-state resident who completed firearms training in Clark County
- You are 21 years of age or older (or 18+ with qualifying military status)
- You can lawfully possess a firearm
- You completed an approved Nevada CCW course
- You pay required fees
You Cannot Apply If:
- You are under 21 years of age (excluding military exemption).
- You do not provide the required documentation to demonstrate competence with a firearm.
- You are a fugitive from justice.
- You have been judicially declared mentally incompetent or insane.
- You have been admitted to a mental health facility within the last 5 years.
- You have a history of substance abuse that impairs your normal faculties
- This includes DUI convictions within the past five years
- This includes medical marijuana use
- You have been convicted of a crime involving the use, or threatened use of force or violence, including misdemeanor convictions, within the last three (3) years.
- You have been convicted of a felony.
- You have been convicted of a crime involving domestic violence or stalking, or you are currently subject to a restraining order or other order of protection against violence.
- You are currently on parole or probation.
- Within the past five years, you have been subject to court conditions related to a felony, including:
- Withholding of entry of judgment
- Suspension of sentence
- Indictment by a grand jury
- You have made a false statement on any application
- You were dishonorably discharged from the Armed Forces
- You are not lawfully admitted into or are no longer lawfully within the United States
- You are prohibited from possessing a firearm under state or federal law, or ordinance
Important Information for Applicants:
- This application is an official document. Providing false information or misrepresentation may result in denial of your application. If intentional falsification or omission is identified, you may be charged with a Category C felony.
- You are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws related to the possession and carrying of a concealed firearm.
Before You Apply
You will answer 17 yes or no questions. "Yes" responses may require explanation and may affect eligibility.
Required Documents
You will need the following documents when applying for a CCW permit:
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- Proof of Clark County residency (if applicable)
- Certificate of completion from an approved Nevada CCW course
- Any additional supporting documentation requested during the application process
Fingerprint Appointment
After submitting your application, you must schedule a fingerprint appointment as part of the process.

- You will receive instructions during the application process
