Homeless Outreach TeamHomelessness is a complex community issue. LVMPD patrol officers enforce applicable laws and ordinances within their assigned areas while also working alongside specialized teams to help connect individuals to available services and support.

The HOPE and Outreach Team (HOT)  provides specialized resources, training, and coordinated response efforts. The team brings focused expertise and partnerships aimed at assisting individuals experiencing homelessness throughout Clark County.

This LVMPD initiative represents a proactive, community-based approach intended to reduce repeated law enforcement and emergency medical responses involving individuals experiencing homelessness. While the primary focus is outreach, engagement, and connection to services, enforcement actions may still occur when necessary to ensure public safety and compliance with the law.
