Corrections Officer Victor Hunter
LVMPD Remembers...
End of Watch: September 16, 2011
Corrections Officer Victor Hunter joined LVMPD on October 29, 2007, at the uncommon age of 46. He left behind a career as a Vons manager to enter the academy with his son, Christopher, making headlines for being part of the first father-son duo in the department's history to graduate together. Victor told his family he’d found his true passion as a corrections officer. Described as a man devoted to God and his family, Victor had a knack for making friends easily. He loved to sing and spend time outdoors. Victor’s four-year career with LVMPD was cut short when he died in a car accident following a medical episode at the Clark County Detention Center. He is survived by the love of his life, Noreta, three children, and numerous other family members.
