LVMPD Remembers...
End of Watch: Friday, September 16, 2011
Corrections Officer Victor Hunter joined LVMPD on October 29, 2007, at age 46. He left a career as a manager at Vons to attend the academy alongside his son, Christopher. Together, they became the first father and son in the department’s history to graduate from the academy.
Officer Hunter told his family that he had found his true passion as a corrections officer. He was devoted to God and his family, made friends easily, loved to sing and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Officer Hunter died in a vehicle crash following a medical episode at the Clark County Detention Center. He is survived by the love of his life, Noreta, his three children and numerous other family members.
