Officer Donald C. Weese joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on September 11, 1990. He was responding to a gun call on the night of October 23, 1992 when his patrol car collided with another vehicle and then struck a traffic signal pole at Charleston and Eastern. Officer Weese sustained massive injuries and died at the scene. He was 25.
