Overview
The Internal Affairs Bureau helps maintain the integrity of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department by objectively and impartially investigating allegations of employee misconduct and complaints involving the department.
Responsibilities
The Internal Affairs Bureau is responsible for:

Receiving, documenting and tracking complaints involving LVMPD employees

Supervising and monitoring investigations of alleged or suspected employee misconduct

Protecting the confidentiality of Internal Affairs investigations and records in accordance with applicable laws and policies

Forwarding investigative findings to the appropriate department authority
Early Identification and Intervention Program
The Early Identification and Intervention Program is a data-based performance management tool used to identify employees who may be experiencing performance-related concerns. The program supports early intervention, appropriate corrective measures, accountability and quality public service.
