Critical Incident Review Process
The Critical Incident Review Process (CIRP) is LVMPD's process for reviewing incidents involving the use of deadly force. Community members play an important role by serving on the Use of Force Review Board (UFRB). The information below explains how to apply.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is currently seeking qualified, committed individuals to serve as voting members of the LVMPD Use of Force Review Board (UFRB).
Applicants must:
- Be a resident of Clark County
- Be able to speak, read, and write English
Applicants who have a history of serious criminal activity, who have worked in the law enforcement field, or who are related to a current employee of the LVMPD are not eligible to apply.
Selected applicants must:
- Complete a drug test.
- Submit fingerprints.
- Attend a three-hour orientation.
Members serve:
- Three-year terms
- Attend board meetings
- Participate in reviews
- May observe investigations
