Overview

LVMPD is committed to transparency and accountability. This page provides information about officer-involved uses of deadly force that did not result in a death, including reports, videos, and other released materials.

When Reports Are Released

In some cases, criminal charges may still be pending. To avoid affecting an active investigation or court case, LVMPD may delay releasing reports until they can be made public without impacting the case.

Reports are posted after they become public records and are made available through the Office of Internal Oversight (OIO).

Because of this, reports may not be listed in chronological order.

Available Reports

LVMPD releases the following reports for each incident:

  • Force Investigation Team (FIT) Report
Includes evidence collected during the investigation. Reports are released with confidential information removed or redacted.
  • Office of Internal Oversight (OIO) Review
Provides the department's review of the incident, including findings, conclusions, and any recommended changes to policy, training, or procedures.

Video Releases

LVMPD began publishing use-of-force videos in 2013. When available, videos are provided to help the public better understand the circumstances of an incident.

Note: Reports, videos, and reviews may be released at different times depending on the status of criminal and administrative investigations. All videos, press releases, and reports on this page open in a new browser tab.
