Synopsis: On November 14th, 2019 at 2:38 p.m., a man arrived at 2632 Brady Avenue to perform maintenance work at the residence and noticed a Dodge Journey parked in the driveway. When he looked into the vehicle, he noticed the window was shattered and there was blood inside the car. The man then walked into the backyard and noticed a male laying on the ground deceased. LVMPD patrol officers and medical personnel arrived on scene. Medical pronounced the victim, Craig Matthews, deceased from a gunshot wound. Patrol officers secured the scene and requested the assistance of homicide.

Date:  September 15, 2019
Synopsis: On September 15, 2019 at approximately 10:04 a.m., LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex located in the 5000 block of Lindell Road to investigate reports of gunfire. Arriving officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds outside of an apartment. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim had just arrived at the apartment complex before the shooting occurred. After the shooting, two unidentified black males were seen running from the area.

Location:  3369 N Thom Blvd
Date:  August 19, 2019
Synopsis: On August 19, 2019 at approximately 10:45 p.m., LVMPD Dispatch received a report of a shooting in the 3300 block of North Thom Boulevard. Arriving patrol officers located an adult male lying in the parking lot of a business suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medical personnel arrived and transported the victim to UMC Trauma where he was later pronounced deceased. Detectives from the LVMPD’s Homicide Section learned that the victim and an adult female were parked on the street inside of a vehicle when they were approached by a black male adult holding a firearm. The suspect demanded her property and that she and the victim exit the vehicle. Upon exiting the vehicle, the victim ran away at which point the suspect ran after the victim. The suspect began to shoot at the victim striking him multiple times where he collapsed in the parking lot of a business. The suspect was described as a black male adult 25 to 35 years of age, with a thin build.

Location:  I 15 at Northbound Silverado Ranch
Date:  August 5, 2019
Synopsis:  On August 5, 2019 at approximately 7:37 p.m., LVMPD officers were dispatched to the I-15 northbound between Silverado Ranch and Blue Diamond Road to investigate a report of a road rage incident that resulted in a shooting. Arriving officers located an adult male driver suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives from the LVMPD Homicide Section learned that the suspect vehicle was behind the victim’s car as they traveled on the I-15. At some point, the suspect’s vehicle pulled up beside the victim and fired multiple rounds into the Chrysler striking the victim. After the shooting, the suspect vehicle continued driving north on the I-15 and fled the area prior to police arrival.

Location:  6500 W Charleston (Sundance Village Apartments)
Date:  July 25, 2019
Synopsis: On July 25, 2019 at approximately 10:26 p.m., LVMPD officers were at an apartment complex located in the 6500 block of West Charleston Boulevard completing an investigation into a shooting that took place in the same complex a few hours earlier. Officers heard gunfire coming from the other side of the apartment complex. At the same time, LVMPD dispatch received multiple reports of two males shooting at each other inside of the apartment complex. Officers located an adult male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased.

Location: 3770 Swenson Street (Shelter Island Apartments)
Date: April 7, 2019
Synopsis: On April 7, 2019 at approximately 5:49 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex near the 3700 block of Swenson Street to investigate a report of a shooting. Arriving officers located an adult male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid to the victim until medical arrived. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital Trauma in critical condition. The investigation initiated by LVMPD Patrol Detectives indicates a possible suspect was seen in the immediate area before the victim was shot. He is described as a black male adult in his 20’s, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

On April 11, 2019 the victim was pronounced deceased.

Synopsis: On March 27, 2019 at approximately 8:56 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 600 block of 12th Street to investigate reports of a shooting with two people hit. Arriving officers located two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to UMC Trauma where one of them was later pronounced deceased. The other victim suffered what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated neighbors heard shots fired and went outside to discover the injured victims.

Location:  Near Viking Rd & Katie Ave, Flamingo Wash
Date:  November 30, 2018

Synopsis: The LVMPD Homicide Section is conducting an investigation into the discovery of the body of Dearl Young in the Flamingo Wash between Katie Avenue and Viking Road. The cause and circumstances of Young’s death is unknown at this time.

Young’s body was discovered on 11-20-2018, at approximately 8 :00 a.m. by a citizen who was walking in the wash. Detectives are seeking any information from citizens that knew Young and may be able to provide assistance in identifying the cause of Young’s death.

Location: 950 West Lake Mead Boulevard
Date: November 4, 2018

Synopsis: On November 4, 2018 at approximately 12:29 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to 950 West Lake Mead Boulevard to investigate a report of a shooting. Arriving officers found an adult male lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim’s girlfriend was rendering first aid and the officers assisted until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim and his girlfriend were walking in front of 950 West Lake Mead Boulevard when a light skinned, black male adult ran up behind them and shot the victim. As the victim laid on the ground, the suspect stood over him and shot him several more times. The suspect fled on foot and then got into a vehicle.

The vehicle the suspect got into after the shooting was described as a newer, white Mercedes 4-door sedan. A photo of the suspect vehicle accompanies this updated release. Detectives believe that the victim was targeted, and the shooting was retaliatory due to the victim having been involved in a previous altercation.

Date: September 11, 2018
Synopsis: On September 11, 2018 at approximately 3:05 a.m., LVMPD Dispatch Center received a call reporting a shooting in an apartment complex located in the 4200 block of West Rochelle Avenue. Arriving officers found a male sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates the victim arrived in the apartment complex and parked his vehicle. As the victim exited his vehicle, an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds into the car, striking the victim. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction.

Location: 2200 block of Sunrise Avenue
Date: August 21, 2018

Synopsis: On August 21, 2018 at approximately 1:35 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to investigate reports of gunshots near the 2200 block of Sunrise Avenue. Responding officers located a pickup truck with an unresponsive male sitting in the driver’s seat. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

The investigation by LVMPD Homicide Section Detectives determined the victim was parking his vehicle before being shot by an unknown male, wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants. The vehicle rolled backwards and struck a wall before coming to a stop. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction.

Location: 5100 block of Boulder Highway
Date: August 11, 2018

Synopsis: On Saturday, August 11, 2018 at approximately 8:04 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 5100 block of Boulder Highway to investigate a report that an employee had been shot in the parking lot. Arriving officers found a black male adult lying next to his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Medical personnel arrived on scene and pronounced him deceased.

The investigation conducted by LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim took his break, walked outside and sat in his car. At 7:55 p.m. the victim drove his car northbound through the parking lot and returned 5 minutes later. As soon as he exited his car an unknown black male ran up from behind his vehicle and shot the victim the victim several times. The male suspect then fled on foot eastbound through the parking lot prior to police arriving.

Location: Spring Blush Drive and Novelty Avenue
Date: June 3, 2018
Synopsis: On June 3, 2018 at 1:01 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the intersection of Spring Blush Drive and Novelty Avenue in the Southwest valley to investigate reports of a shooting with two people hit. Arriving officers located an adult male and a 17-year-old male juvenile suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to UMC Trauma where the adult was later pronounced deceased.

LVMPD homicide detectives learned there had been a house party at a residence located in the 6100 block of Novelty Drive and police had been called earlier in the evening to disperse the partygoers. The victims had arrived with several other people in the area, and as they started to walk towards the house, they were told by two other men who were getting into an SUV that police had shut the party down. The group continued to talk with the two men who indicated they might know where another party may be going on.

As the group was standing on the corner talking, a black sedan drove by and did a U-turn at the end of the street. As the car passed back by the group, an unknown person fired multiple rounds into the group, striking both of the victims, and the car then left the area. Multiple people were near the intersection when the incident occurred and many fled when the shots were fired. Some were gone before police arrived.

Victim: Keoki Manuel, 27 years old

Location: 4200 Block of N. Lamont St.
Date: March 24, 2018
Synopsis: On March 24, 2018 at approximately 12:27 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of North Lamont Street to investigate a report of an unresponsive male later identified as 27 year old Keoki Manuel laying on the sidewalk. Arriving officers located Manuel suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Medical personnel responded and pronounced Manuel deceased at the scene.

The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates the shooting went unreported until a citizen observed Manuel on the sidewalk.

No arrests have been made, but the motive for the shooting appears to be related to the sale of narcotics.

Victim: Pedro Rios, 35 years old

Location: 200 Block of W. New York Ave.
Date: February 13, 2018
Synopsis: On February 13, 2018 at approximately 7:50 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex located in the 200 block of West Chicago Avenue to investigate reports of a shooting in the area. Arriving officers located a male later identified as 35 year old Pedro Rios, found lying on the stairs to his apartment in the 200 block of West New York Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced Rios deceased at the scene.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated several individuals were engaged in the shooting on Chicago Avenue. As the shooting began, Rios exited his home on New York Ave and was struck by a stray bullet. All the suspects involved in the shooting fled before officers arrived.

No arrests have been made, but the motive for the shooting appears to be related to the sale of narcotics and Rios’s death may have been unintentional.

Location: Cold Creek Rd.
Date: February 3, 2018
Synopsis:

On January 28, 2018 at approximately 12:54 p.m., people riding horses in the area of Bugling Bull Rd. and Cold Creek Rd. discovered a deceased male in the desert. The male was later identified as 25 year old Michael Hadley.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates Hadley was homeless and known to frequent the area of Charleston Blvd. and Bruce St. Detectives have not identified a suspect or motive in this homicide.

Victim: Jorge Prado-Romero
Suspect: Unknown
Location: 1200 North Lamb Boulevard
Date: January 27, 2018

Synopsis: On January 27, 2018 at approximately 7:20 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to a mobile home community located at 1200 North Lamb Boulevard to investigate a report of a man shot. Medical personnel had initially responded to the residence to treat the man for a medical episode. Medics discovered the man had been shot multiple times and police were summoned. The man was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim would work on cars at his home and would then sell them. At the time of this incident, the victim was working on a car in the driveway when an unknown suspect or suspects fired multiple shots, several of which struck the victim.

Location: 1411 North Jones Boulevard
Date: January 11, 2018

Synopsis: On January 11, 2018 at approximately 9:15 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to a business located at 1411 North Jones Boulevard to investigate a report of a woman shot. Arriving officers located an adult female inside of the business suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where she was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim was an employee of the business and was in the process of opening for the day. It is believed that at least one suspect entered the building behind the employee and possibly attempted to rob her. During the encounter the employee was shot.

Two possible suspects were seen running from the business but could only be described as black males wearing dark clothing. They were last seen running eastbound across N. Jones Blvd. and into a residential neighborhood.

Date: December 18, 2017
Synopsis: On December 18, 2017, at approximately 00:48 a.m. LVMPD Patrol Officers were dispatched to a report of a man down near 3550 Villa Knolls North (Tropicana and Pecos). Officers arrived and located a white male who was unresponsive, with gunshot wounds. Medical personnel transported him to Sunrise Trauma where he was later pronounced deceased. Several witnesses reported hearing gunshots sometime between midnight and 00:30 a.m.

Victim #1: Renee Simmons, 58 years old
Victim #2: Tom Dufault, 59 years old
Location: 4200 Vader Avenue
Date: December 22, 2017

 Synopsis: On December 22, 2017 at approximately 10:40 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Vader Avenue to investigate the suspicious deaths of two individuals located by the Clark County Fire Department. Arriving officers were guided to a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound and a deceased female with no apparent wounds.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated a care giver arrived at the residence, but the there was no answer at the door. Looking in through a window they saw a person laying on the floor. Medical Personnel were notified and made entry into the residence. Once inside they located both individuals who were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Due to the suspicious situation they notified police. The preliminary investigation revealed that both victims identified as Renee Simmons and Tom Dufault had a gunshot wound.

Victim: Ashley Wellito, 25 years old
Location: Mountain View Hospital
Date: April 19, 2017

Synopsis: On April 19, 2017 at approximately 7:52 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to UMC Trauma to investigate a report of a critically injured female. The woman had been transferred from Mountain View Hospital earlier in the morning. At approximately 9:30 a.m. the woman was pronounced deceased, and homicide detectives were requested due to the nature of the injuries the woman had sustained, and the people who had dropped her off at Mountain View Hospital did not remain to tell medical personnel how the woman was injured.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the deceased woman, later identified as 25-year-old Ashley Wellito, had been dropped off at the Mountain View Hospital Emergency Room entrance at approximately 6:05 a.m. by an unknown male and female. Once Wellito was dropped off, the male and female left before they could be identified, and before advising medical personnel how Wellito’s injuries occurred.

Detectives seek to identify and interview the two people seen in the video. The man could only be described as a black male adult, who had a medium height and build, and was last seen wearing a white True Religion workout suit with a New York Yankee baseball cap. The woman was described as a Hispanic female adult who was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark, zippered sweatshirt. The people were driving what could only be described as a black vehicle.

The circumstances surrounding the death of Ashley Wellito, and the identity of the two people who left her at Mountain View Hospital, remain a mystery. Investigators believe it is possible that Wellito had been injured in an accident and foul play was not necessarily involved.

Victim:  Eric Brooks, 18 years old
Suspect:  Unknown
Location:  9000 Vintage Wine Ave. (Vintage Wine Park)
Date:  June 30, 2017

Synopsis: On June 30, 2017 at approximately 10:25 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 9000 Block of Vintage Wine Avenue to investigate reports of possible gunshots heard and a person down in the street. Arriving officers located an adult male later identified as Eric Brooks lying in the street near a small residential park suffering from apparent multiple gunshots.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced Brooks deceased at the scene.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated Brooks had been seen sitting on a bench in the park a few minutes before the shots were heard. A dark colored KIA SUV was also parked nearby. After the shots were heard, the KIA SUV was seen leaving the area and Brooks was found on the ground. The investigation also indicated Brooks may have gone to the park for an arranged meeting with an unknown person. No suspect or suspects have been identified and the motive is unknown.

Case #: 170302-4339
Victim: Terran Olson-Carlisle, 25 years old
Suspect: Unknown
Location: 3900 Block of S. buffalo Dr.
Date: March 2, 2017

Synopsis:
On March 2, 2017, 25-year-old Terran Olson-Carlisle was reported missing.

The day the report was filed, detectives obtained surveillance video from a business located in the 3900 block of South Buffalo Drive. The video shows two men arriving in a black SUV to the rear of the business, getting out the vehicle, and dumping a bag into one of the dumpsters. The bag contained some clothing and blood that belonged to Terran Olson-Carlisle. Detectives hope to identify and interview the two individuals seen in this video: https://youtu.be/RN6ouym-3fg.

Due to the suspicious circumstances related to the disappearance of Terran Olson-Carlisle, the LVMPD Homicide Section has assumed the responsibility of this investigation.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who has information about Olson-Carlisle’s activities in the weeks leading up to his disappearance.

Victim: Brittney Briggs, 24 years old
Suspect: Unknown
Location: 1900 block of Spindrift Court
Date: February 10-11, 2017

Synopsis: On February 10, 2017, Officers responded to the area of 1900 Spindrift Court, Las Vegas, NV, after friends of Briggs responded to her home when she did not show up for a pre arranged appointment and found her deceased and her young child crying in her bedroom.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated no forced entry into the home. An autopsy determined Briggs had died from blunt force trauma and strangulation. Brigg’s home appeared to have been ransacked and several items were found to be missing.

The investigation revealed Briggs often sold items online and unknown person(s) were known to come and go from her residence.

Victim: Robin McBride, 42 years old

Location: 2221 Exeter Dr.
Date: January 1, 2017

Synopsis: On January 2, 2017 at approximately 9:13 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 2200 block of Exeter Drive to investigate multiple reports of shots fired and a man identified as Robin McBride down on the ground. McBride was lying in the street, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.

McBride was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated residents in the area heard a verbal argument, then multiple gunshots, and saw McBride lying on the ground. Preliminary information indicated there were 3-5 individuals seen running from the area after the shots were heard.

Victim: Richard Ares, 18 years of age
Suspect: 3-4 Hispanic Males
Location: 4975 Duneville St.
Date: December 27, 2016

Synopsis: On December 27, 2016 at approximately 6:35 p.m., LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of Duneville Street to investigate reports of gunshots heard.  Arriving patrol officers located a male later identified as Richard Ares, near the front of a building unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  Medical personnel transported the Ares to the University Medical Center Trauma Unit where he was pronounced deceased.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the victim confronted several males who were tagging a wall near an apartment complex.  Investigators believe a short time after the confrontation, a vehicle described as an older black Honda Civic drove towards the victim and opened fire.

Synopsis: On November 11, 2016, at 7:50 p.m. LVMPD Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 4800 Block of San Miguel Ave., for reports of a male shot and lying in the street.
Patrol Officers arrived and located a male later identified as Devon Whitson lying in the street inside suffering from a gunshot wounds. Medical personnel transported Whiston to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses stated three black male adults were arguing with Whitson and his friend prior to the gunshots being heard. The male fled on foot to an unknown location.

Date: October 27, 2016

Synopsis: On October 27, 2016, at 1239 hours, EAC patrol officers responded to 4450 S. Hualapai Way, Building 24, Apartment 1262, for a report of two individuals shot inside the residence. Officers arrived and located a male and female deceased inside the residence. It appeared both had been deceased for a more than a few hours. Officers secured the scene and began a canvass of the area for witnesses. Homicide was requested and responded to take over the investigation.

Date: August 8, 2016

Synopsis: On August 8, 2016, at 10:45 p.m. LVMPD Patrol Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 6900 block of E. Lake Mead Blvd., for reports of gunshots being heard.

Patrol Officers arrived and located a male later identified as Miguel Jackson lying on the floor inside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medical Personnel transported Jackson to UMC Trauma where he was listed as extremely critical and not expected to survive. Jackson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on August 10, 2016.

A witness stated while inside an apartment with Jackson, gunshots were heard and glass breaking. Jackson was seen lying on the floor suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Location:  2300 blcok of North Jones Boulevard
Date: June 4, 2016

Synopsis: On June 4, 2016 at approximately 2:12 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of North Jones Boulevard to investigate reports of a man who had been shot and was lying in the street. Arriving officers located a male later identified as Avery Turner lying in the street on Jones south of Smoke Ranch suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel arrived and transported Turner to the UMC Trauma Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

Turner was seen with a possible suspect just before the shots were fired. After Turner was shot, he walked to the center median of Jones where he was found by responding Patrol Officers. The suspect was last seen running into the Ashford Manor Apartment Complex.

The suspect can only be described as a black male adult in his 20’s. He stood approximately 5’6” tall, had short hair, and was last seen wearing a white tee shirt and red pants.

Victim: Jose De Jesus Alatorre-Guzman, 19 years old

Location: 5100 Vermont Ave.
Date: May 11, 2016

Synopsis: On May 11, 2016, at 9:17 p.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a male later identified as Jose De Jesus Alatorre-Guzman, 19 years of age who reported he had been shot.

Patrol officers and medical personnel responded to the intersection of Minnesota Street and Washington Avenue. Alatorre-Guzman was transported to the UMC Trauma Center for treatment. Through the investigation, detectives learned the Alatorre-Guzman was walking in the 5100 block of Vermont Avenue. An unknown male who was driving a black 4-door vehicle, possibly a Honda, engaged Alatorre-Guzman in conversation then shot him one time and drove away.

On May 14, 2016 Alatorre-Guzman died from the injuries he received as a result of the shooting.

As of this release, a suspect has not been identified and the motive is unknown.

Suspect: “Dugga”, BMA 34-37 years old, 6’ 3”, Thin Build, Long Dreads
Location: Behind the 7-11 located at 15th Street and Fremont
Date: March 2, 2016

Synopsis: On March 2, 2016, LVMPD Patrol Officers were dispatched to Sunrise Medical Center reference a male who sustained a head injury from being battered.

Homicide detectives learned 48 year old Robert Hollimon, aka “Joey”, told his friends on February 29th, 2016, at approximately 2300 hours, he was jumped by two African American males.  Allegedly this incident started around the El Cortez’s parking garage and continued to the area behind the 7-11 located at Fremont and 15th Street.

Hollimon told his friends that one of the males went by the moniker “Dugga”. 

On March 2, 2016 Hollimon succumbed to his injuries and was declared brain dead. 

According to friends of Hollimon, “Dugga” is described as a light skinned Black Male Adult, approximately 6’3”, thin build with long dreads to the middle of his back who is 36 years old.  He is possibly from the New York area with a heavy New York accent. Possibly lives in or frequents the area of Sierra Vista and Cambridge.

Victim: Heriberto Diaz-Marcial, 60 years old
Suspects: Three (3) suspects 16-20 years of age
Location: Marion Drive and Grande Mirada Way
Date: February 20, 2016

Synopsis: On February 20, 2016, at approximately 1:16 a.m., 60-year-old Heriberto Diaz-Marcial was discovered to be the victim of a homicide at the intersection of Marion Drive & Grande Mirada Way which is located just south of Lake Mead Blvd on Marion Drive.  LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to the area to investigate a report of gunshots. Arriving officers located Heriberto Diaz-Marcial lying on the ground near the intersection of Marion Drive and Grande Mirada Way. Medical personnel transported Diaz-Marcial to the UMC Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Diaz-Marcial was walking in the area when he was confronted and subsequently shot. Detectives believe Diaz-Marcial may have been robbed. A witness saw three (3) suspects 16-20 years of age get out of a vehicle and approach Diaz-Marcial followed by a gunshot.

Synopsis: On February 3rd, 2016, at approximately 2:39 a.m., 45 year old John Vounas was discovered to be the victim of a homicide in the 1100 block of Eastwood Dr.  LVMPD Call Center received a 911 call from Vounas who reported he had been shot and felt like he was dying. Vounas was discovered by responding Patrol Officers deceased from an apparent gunshot wound lying in the street.   The motive for Vounas’s death is unknown.

Location: 4870 Luxor Way
Date: January 21, 2016

Synopsis: On January 21, 2016, at 9:24 p.m. the LVMPD Dispatch Center received several 9-1-1 calls from multiple people reporting several gunshots at 4870 Luxor Way. Patrol Officers and Medical personnel were dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, officers located a black male adult, later identified as Kelvin Johnson, who was unresponsive. Johnson was transported to UMC Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses stated an unknown black male suspect approached the vehicle where Johnson was sitting and fired several shots killing Johnson.

The suspect is described as a black male being approximately 5’7” to 5’10”, thin build, wearing a dark hooded jacket and jeans. He ran through the parking lot and jumped over a wall where he was picked up by a white SUV.

Location: 4100 Block of South Fort Apache
Date: October 28, 2015

Synopsis: On October 28, 2015 at approximately 5:53 p.m. 33 year old Kristopher Schneider was discovered to be the victim of a homicide in a parking lot located in the 4100 block of South Fort Apache.
Schneider was observed talking to a male and female in the parking lot. An argument ensued and the male stabbed Schneider who was transported to a local hospital and later died. The male and female fled in an unknown make and model white two door sedan.

The suspect is described as African American male in his 20’s, having a thin build, wearing a white tank top and dark pants. He goes by the moniker of “Cali” and is known to sell Heroin. The suspect was accompanied by a white female with dark hair in a ponytail wearing eyeglasses, a white shirt and unknown color jeans.

Synopsis: On September 17, 2015 at approximately 8:50 p.m. 34 year old Javier Ortiz-Hernandez was discovered to be the victim of a homicide in his apartment located in the 2200 block of Exeter Dr.

Ortiz-Hernandez was working on his vehicle in the parking lot of his apartment building when an unknown suspect fired several shots toward two people driving a Polaris Slingshot in the area.  One person in the vehicle was shot receiving minor injuries. Another person standing near Ortiz-Hernandez was also shot receiving minor injuries. Ortiz-Hernandez was hit ran into his apartment and died.

Synopsis: On September 7, 2015 at approximately 12:02 a.m. 35 year old Iris Spiller was discovered to be the victim of a homicide at an extended stay apartment complex located in the 5600 block of South Boulder Highway.

Spiller was with two other people in the parking lot when the group was approached by two African American males with firearms. An argument ensued and the two males shot Spiller and another person. Spiller died at the scene.

The suspects are described as African American males wearing dark clothing and fled in an unknown make model silver vehicle.

Date: August 17, 2015

Synopsis: On August 17th, 2015, at approximately 12:46 a.m., 32 year old Hipolito Reyes-Perez was discovered to be the victim of a homicide in the 600 block of S. 11th St. LVMPD Call Center received a 9-1-1 call from a female who reported finding Hipolito Reyes-Perez in a residence deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

During the course of the investigation, detectives recovered surveillance video from a nearby business which depicted a dark, newer model, possibly maroon colored 4-door SUV, with chrome rims driving in the area on August 8th, 2015 at approximately 11:50 p.m. when detectives believe the homicide occurred.

The persons of interest are described as two Hispanic or Cuban males, approximately 30 years old, 5’7 to 5’8, with medium builds.

Date: July 13, 2015

Synopsis: On July 13th, 2015, at approximately 02:59 a.m., 38 year old Jerome Gravely was discovered in the 1900 block of D St., suffering from a gunshot wound.
LVMPD call center received 911 calls to report multiple gunshots being heard, vehicle tires squealing and a male (Gravely) had been shot. Gravely was transported to the UMC Trauma Center for treatment.

Immediately after the shooting a silver or gray full size SUV was seen leaving the area north on D St. and east on Lake Mead.

On July 31st, 2015, Gravely succumbed to his injuries and died becoming the victim of a homicide.

Synopsis: On June 7th, 2015 at approximately 12:46 p.m., 22 year old Aaron Martinez was discovered to be the victim of a homicide in the 3400 block of Olive Street.

Martinez was walking with a friend on the sidewalk when they both were shot at multiple times by an unknown suspect. The suspect was the front passenger in a dark colored small SUV type vehicle and fired several rounds from a handgun. Martinez was transported to the hospital but died as a result of his injuries. The other male suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and survived.

Synopsis: On May 10th 2015, at approximately 3:44 a.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 9-1-1 call from a person reporting guns shots heard in the 4800 block of Cleopatra Ave. Patrol officers and Medical personnel responded and discovered a female later identified Epri Cain age 31, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Cain was transported to UMC Trauma Center where she was later pronounced deceased.

Cain and another family member were inside their apartment when there was a knock at the door. When Cain opened the door the suspect immediately fired shots into the apartment striking Cain.

Witnesses observed an unknown African American male with short hair wearing a white tee shirt and tan shorts leaving the area after the gunshots were heard.

Synopsis: On March 25, 2015 at approximately 6:03 p.m., 45 year old Carlos Vasquez was discovered to be the victim of a homicide in a vacant lot located in the 3000 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard, near the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Pecos.

Vasquez was homeless and often slept in the area where his body was later discovered by his son.  Investigators believe that Vasquez had likely been killed during an apparent physical altercation with the unknown suspect(s) the night before.

Lewis with a group of people playing a dice game on the 2nd floor balcony of a building when he was approached by an African American male with a firearm. Lewis was shot while attempting to run away from the suspect.

The suspect is described as an African American male who has a dark complexion, between 20-25 years of age.

Synopsis: On September 21, 2014 at approximately 7:32 p.m. the LVMPD Call Center received a 911 call reference someone being shot in the 5200 block of Stampa Ave. Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered Jose Hernandez-Pena, 16 years of age, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and became the victim of a homicide.

Homicide detectives learned the shooting took place at the intersection of westbound Sahara Ave and Decatur Boulevard. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a dark colored sedan with black rims and chrome trim. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male 20-25 years of age.

Synopsis: On September 9, 2014 at approximately 7:47 p.m. the LVMPD Call Center received a 911 call regarding two males shot inside an apartment located in the 2800 block of East Bonanza Road.

Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered one male suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound and a second male; Derrell Carr, age 23 to be the victim of a homicide.

The preliminary investigation indicated five people were inside of the apartment when multiple shots were fired from outside of the unit.

When Police Officers and Medical personnel arrived they discovered Juan Arenas, age 20, bleeding from several injuries.

Arenas was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police believe Arenas got into an altercation with unknown male(s) in front of an apartment on Brussels.

Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered Morland Antwon Richey-Elder, 20 years of age, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and became the victim of a homicide.

There were several people who observed Richey-Elder being shot and are witnesses to this homicide.

Location: 3400 block of North Rancho Drive
Date/Time: July 20, 2014 at approximately 5:01 a.m.

Synopsis: On July 20, 2014, at approximately 5:01 a.m. the LVMPD Call Center received a 9-1-1 call regarding multiple subjects shot in a parking lot of convenience store located in the 3400 block of North Rancho Drive.

Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered four males suffering from gunshot wounds. Three of the males were transported to the UMC Trauma Center, treated and released.

Issachar Akaka, age 18 was deceased from a gunshot wound in the vehicle.

Akaka and the other victims were at a party in the 3300 block of Corona Del Mar Drive. They were involved in a verbal altercation, that later turned physical. After the altercation, the victims got into their vehicle and left the area.

As the victims drove to the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Miracosta Avenue, a white four door, vehicle drove alongside the victim vehicle. A suspect from inside the suspect vehicle pulled out a gun and fired into the victim vehicle, striking four of the passengers.

Synopsis: On July 17th 2014, at approximately 12:20 a.m., the LVMPD call center received 911 calls reporting several gunshots in the 8300 block of Lower Trailhead Avenue. Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered Marvin Surrell, age 22 deceased from gunshot wounds.

Surrell became the victim of a homicide during a home invasion; several items were also taken along with Surrell’s car.

Witnesses observed a second unknown race male drive away in a dark colored sedan type vehicle toward the area of Durango and Blue Diamond.

Synopsis: On April 15th 2014, at approximately 2:55 p.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 911 call from a person reporting they had discovered a male unresponsive in the flood basin near B St. & Owens Ave. Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and confirmed the male later identified as Michael Trudeau, age 44 deceased from unknown injuries.

Homicide detectives learned Trudeau was homeless, lived in the area and had been deceased for a few weeks. Trudeau’s death is considered a homicide.

Synopsis: On April 10, 2014 at approximately 3:47 p.m. the LVMPD Call Center received numerous 911 calls reference someone being shot in front of 1725 Curran Way, Las Vegas, Nevada 89106.

Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered Damario Berry, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Before being transported to the hospital Berry told officers that “Tize” or “Ticce” was the person who shot him. Berry became the victim of a homicide at 1620 hours.

There were several people who observed Berry being shot and are witnesses to this homicide.

Arriving medical personnel discovered a male later identified as Eric Ruiz, age 25 deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

Witnesses heard an argument between an unknown number of males; then heard gunshots. Witnesses also observed a male running away westbound from the scene onto Carey Ave.

Synopsis: On March 22, 2014 at approximately 2:00 p.m. the LVMPD Call Center received numerous 911 calls reference someone being shot in the 200 block of New York Ave.  Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and discovered Gabriel Dieguez, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and became the victim of a homicide.

There were several people who observed Dieguez being shot and are witnesses to this homicide. Three African American Adults were seen running away from the scene one of them with a handgun.

Victim: Charles Stewart, 65 years of age

Location: 1200 block of West Washington Avenue
Date: March 12, 2014

Synopsis: On March 12th, 2014, at approximately 10:55 p.m., a residential fire was reported in the 1200 block of W. Washington Ave.

Officers arrived and were able to rescue a female from inside the residence. Fire Department personnel arrived to extinguish the fire and upon making entry into the residence discovered a male later identified as Charles Stewart, age 65 deceased.

Through the course of the investigation Homicide detectives have determined Stewart was deceased prior to the fire and the victim of a homicide. Witnesses observed three individuals leaving the residence just prior to the fire.

Synopsis:
On February 22, 2014, at approximately 5:00 p.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 911 call reporting a shooting had occurred inside an apartment located in the 2300 block of Sunrise Ave.

Patrol officers and Medical personnel responded and discovered Fredrick Findley, age 43 deceased from an apparent gunshot wounds.

Victim: Cleottus Harvey

Location: Tropicana Avenue at Rainbow Boulevard
Date/Time: January 21, 2014, at approximately 5:15 p.m.

Synopsis: On Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at approximately 1715 hours, LVMPD Communications received two 911 calls in regards to a shooting at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard. Responding officers discovered Cleottus Harvey shot behind the wheel of his 1998 Buick sedan, and his two children were sitting in the backseat. Harvey was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His vehicle was shot into a total of five times, with Harvey shot once in the side and back of the head.

A witness identified the shooter as a middle-aged white male with a buzzed haircut, driving a dark blue or black compact sedan. Although there were numerous vehicles stopped in traffic at the time of the shooting, only one other witness was located who described a vehicle leaving the scene at a high rate of speed as a newer model Toyota Corolla. Efforts to locate additional witnesses have proved unsuccessful.

Location: 1602 H Street
Date/Time: December 7, 2013

Synopsis: On December 7, 2013 at 7:58 p.m., a witness called 911 to report hearing gunshots near the Elks Lodge at H Street / Owens when she was leaving the dollar store. The witness heard about 10 gunshots but did not see anything. The same witness saw a crowd in the parking lot of the business and believed they were fighting. LVMPD officers arrived discovered Joseph Jefferson lying on the ground, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Numerous witnesses were interviewed who all described an unknown black male shooting in the parking lot. No leads were obtained to identify a suspect.

Victim: Alvin Moore, 57 years of age

Location: 4386 Escondido Street
Date/Time: October 29, 2013

Synopsis: On October 29, 2013, at approximately 8:11 p.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 911 call reporting a male was discovered unresponsive inside an apartment located at 4386 Escondido Street.

Patrol officers and Medical personnel responded and discovered Alvin Moore, age 57 suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Moore was transported to the Sunrise Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.

Through the course of the investigation Homicide detectives have determined that two people entered Moore’s apartment, killed him, and stole narcotics from his apartment.

Victim: Kristopher Stafford, 23 years of age

Location: 6800 Block of Lone Mountain Road
Date/Time: September 21, 2013 at approximately 1:44 a.m.

Synopsis: On September 21st, 2013, at approximately 1:44 a.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 9-1-1 call from a person reporting a male had been had been shot several times in the 6800 block of Lone Mountain Road.  Arriving Patrol officers and Medical personnel responded and discovered a male identified as Kristopher Stafford, age 23 deceased from gunshot wounds.

Through the course of the investigation Homicide detectives have determined that Stafford and another male were driving westbound in the 6800 block of Lone Mountain Road in a blue Chevy Silverado pickup truck. As they drove through the intersection of Rainbow Blvd. a black 4-door sedan with silver colored wheels attempted to pass them. As the sedan pulled along, Stafford began yelling at the occupants of the sedan.

Stafford exited the truck and ran after the sedan. After Stafford struck the rear of the sedan it made a U-turn and while Stafford was standing near the center westbound lanes in front of 6885 W. Lone Mountain Road the occupant(s) of the car fired several times at Stafford killing him. After the shooting the sedan continued east on Lone Mountain Road and then south on Rainbow Blvd.

Victim:  Juan Martinez, 44 years of age
Suspect:  Unknown
Location:  500 Block of N. Lamb Blvd.
Date/Time: May 6, 2013 at 5:10 a.m.

Synopsis: On May 6th 2013, at approximately 5:10 a.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 911 call from a person reporting a male who was discovered unresponsive. Patrol officers and Medical personnel responded to the Vera Johnson Apartments located in the 500 block of N. Lamb Blvd. Arriving officers discovered a male who has been identified as Juan Martinez age 44, unresponsive and suffering from unknown injuries. Martinez was transported to Sunrise Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on May 7th, 2013.

Investigators believe that there were likely multiple suspects involved and the suspects either live in or frequent the Vera Johnson Apartments. LVMPD Homicide detectives are seeking the public assistance with this investigation.

Victim: Louis Kim, 54 years of age

Location: 251 W. Baltimore
Date/Time: June 21, 2012, at approximately 8:25 p.m.

Synopsis: On June 21, 2012, at approximately 8:25 p.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 911 call in reference to a man down next to the Stupak Community Center located at 251 W. Baltimore. Officers and medical personnel responded locating the male identified as Louis Kim, age 54 suffering from an apparent stab wound. Kim was transported to UMC Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives obtained video surveillance from the Stupak Community Center. The video surveillance shows Kim walking eastbound on the north side walk, adjacent to the community center, as the suspect who was walking southbound in an alley, also adjacent to the community center. Kim and the unknown suspect crossed paths at the southeast corner of the community center.

The suspect approached Kim and stabbed him for no apparent reason. Kim fell to the ground and the suspect walked off northbound back down the alley. Nothing was stolen from the Kim and the attack appears to be random in nature with no known motive.

The suspect was wearing a dark colored “hoodie” with black shorts that appear to have a white stripe on the leg. The suspect was last seen walking in the north/south alley across from the 7-11 market located at 200 East Boston.

Victim: Rosa Castrejon, Hispanic female 42 yrs old
Suspect: Unknown
Location: Occurred at 6 Mile Cove, Lake Mojave
Date/Time: 10-24-11 at approx 6pm

Synopsis:
On October 25th, 2011, Tuesday morning at approximately 9:30am, two citizens were wind surfing at 6 mile cove, on Lake Mojave south of Cottonwood Cove, and saw a Hispanic male and female lying on the beach. The citizens approached the couple and saw that the male and the female were seriously hurt and in need of assistance. The victims had walked near a subject while using their metal detector on the beach the previous evening, who shot both victims and left them for dead. The citizens called 911 and the National Park Service Rangers arrived.

The Park Rangers discovered that both subjects had been shot, and the female victim, identified as Rosa Castrejon, was deceased from her wounds. The male was airlifted to the University Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery and survived.

LVMPD Homicide detectives have completed a sketch of the suspect and flier with a photo of a vehicle similar to the vehicle the suspect was driving.

Synopsis:  Victim Sergio Lopez exited a residence in the 5600 block of E Lake Mead walking eastbound, and was shot at by two unknown assailants. The victim died from multiple gunshot wounds, and to date the suspects have not been positively identified.

Victim: Christian Bernal-Hernandez, 26 years of age

Location: 4700 block of East Charleston
Date/Time: September 18, 2010

Synopsis: On September 18, 2010 at approximately 11:39 p.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 911 call reporting a male was found to the rear of the Playas de Sinaloa restaurant, suffering from unknown injuries. Officers responded to the 4700 block of E. Charleston and discovered the male identified as Christian Bernal-Hernandez, age 26 deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

Through the course of the investigation Homicide detectives have determined Bernal-Hernandez was inside the Playas de Sinaloa restaurant and went outside to the rear of the restaurant with two other Hispanic males. Gunshots were heard. Bernal-Hernandez and one other male were found shot behind the restaurant. The third Hispanic male fled.

Victim: Jean Richard Paul, 45 years of age

Location: 1000 block of Silverman Way
Date/Time: August 27, 2010

Synopsis: On August 27, 2010 at approximately 2:57 p.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 911 call reporting a male was shot. Officers responded to the 1000 block of Silverman Way and discovered the male identified as Jean Richard Paul age 45, partially under a truck, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

Through the course of the investigation Homicide detectives have determined Jean Paul and two suspects were in front of an apartment at the above listed address engaged in a verbal argument. As a result of the argument, the suspect who is described as being an African American male 30-35 years of age, produced a handgun and fired multiple rounds at Jean Paul, striking and killing him. According to witnesses the two suspects fled on foot northbound through the neighborhood.

Date/Time: August 24, 2010

Synopsis: On August 24, 2010 at approximately 9:03 a.m., LVMPD Dispatch received a call reference a female unconscious laying in the garage/workshop of her home. Patrol officers and medical personnel responded and determined the victim was deceased. It was later determined that the victim died as the result of multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Detectives spoke with the victim’s husband who stated that he had been on a motorcycle ride and had returned home to find her on the floor of the garage/workshop and then called 9-1-1. Detectives have been unable to identify a suspect in this case. The LVMPD Homicide Section is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) or obtaining any additional information for this crime. Victim:  Kevin Dontrell Lamar, 33 Years of Age

Location:  5025 Nellis Oasis Lane
Date/Time: December 23, 2010, 12:00 p.m.

Synopsis: On December 23rd, 2010 at approximately 12:00 p.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received numerous 911 calls reporting several gunshots were heard in the apartment complex located at 5025 Nellis Oasis Lane, and a male was seen lying on the ground unresponsive. Officers responded and discovered a male identified as Kevin Dontrell Lamar, age 33, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

Through the course of the investigation Homicide detectives have determined Lamar who also went by the moniker “Cash”, was inside his apartment and when we answered a knock at his door he was shot several times. Lamar was known to sell narcotics from his apartment. Witnesses told detectives two African American males were seen running from the apartment to a waiting car after the shooting.

Victim:  Robert Waddell, 28 Years of Age
Suspect: Unknown
Location:  1500 West Bonanza Road
Date/Time: July 16, 2010, 5:30 a.m.

Synopsis: On July 16, 2010, at approximately 5:30 a.m., L.V.M.P.D. call center received a 9-1-1 call from a clerk at the AMPM located at 1500 W. Bonanza Road. The clerk stated a male drove up in a red four door vehicle, got out and approached to store. The male was shot and collapsed at the front doors.

Patrol officers and medical personnel responded to the AM/PM on the corner of Martin Luther King and Bonanza. Arriving officers discovered a male who has been identified as Robert Waddell age 28.  Waddell also went by the Moniker “Rob-Loc”. Waddell was transported to UMC Trauma Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Waddell was shot while in his vehicle prior to arriving at the AM/PM.
