The LVMPD Peer Support program is a crisis intervention, counseling and referral service staffed by LVMPD commissioned and civilian employees. It is set up to prevent, and when necessary, to treat the personal and family casualties which are caused directly or indirectly by the stress of the law enforcement profession. Whatever the source of the problems, the right professional help is often expensive or hard to find and we end up having to cope with problems on our own. This service is available to all LVMPD employees and their immediate family members. Seeking assistance is a sign of courage.
