Gang Crimes
The Gang Crimes Section investigates all gang motivated crimes and those crimes which involve criminal street gang members, the majority are violent felony crimes. These cases are handled by Gang Investigative squads which provide 7 day a week coverage. The Gang Crimes Section also proactively patrols our neighborhoods to suppress gang violence and violent crime with 7 day a week Gang Enforcement teams. Gang Detectives and Gang Enforcement Officers work in a coordinated effort with all LVMPD Area Commands and other Investigative Bureaus to pursue the Department’s mission to become the safest community in America.

Vice and Sex Trafficking Investigations
The Vice Section investigates all prostitution and pandering related crimes. These investigations include sex trafficking/ human trafficking. Vice Detectives work 7 days a week in both investigative and enforcement capacities. LVMPD Vice operations occur within the tourist corridors and other problem areas throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Vice Detectives conduct various proactive operations to combat prostitution and the crime associated with it.
