Requesting A Report


Requests for most Traffic reports can be delivered via email, viewable through a secured link. Crime Reports, Backgrounds, and Arrest Report requests will be delivered via U.S. mail or picked up in person at the location selected on your request. Please allow at least 10 business days from date of incident prior to requesting a copy of a report.

If your requested report is available, you will be notified via email.  If you are picking up your report in person, it must be picked up from your selected location within 30 days. After the 30-day time frame, requested reports will no longer be available.

Traffic Collision Reports, Crime Reports and Background Checks are $10.00.

Online payment methods can be submitted in the following forms:

  • Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover)
  • Debit Card

Your request cannot be completed without these important documents:

  • Traffic Collision Report
    • Email address
    • Phone number with area code
    • Event number or date/time and location of incident
  • Crime Reports/Backgrounds/Arrest Report
    • Email address
    • Phone number with area code
    • Event number or date/time and location of incident
    • Attachments:
      • Signed and notarized authorization
      • Copy of valid government issued photo ID

All requests will be returned either electronically, via U.S. mail, or personal pick up.  *It is imperative that you use a working, accurate email address and mailing address for all requests.* 

PICKING UP YOUR REQUESTED REPORT

When picking up your report you MUST bring:

For yourself as the victim listed in the report: You MUST have a valid government-issued photo identification.

For a juvenile or dependent: You MUST bring a copy of his/her birth certificate or guardianship paperwork issued to you by Family Court Services.

For an incapacitated friend or family member: The friend or family member MUST authorize their report to be released to you by filling out the PDF form letter below.

Eligibility of documents depends on case status or the type of case.  Reports will be redacted accordingly.

Specific types of reports require other forms or documents prior to being released.  These reports may take longer and must be picked up at Records and Fingerprint Bureau located at 400 S. Martin Luther King Blvd, Bldg. C. Examples of some of these reports may include:

  • Homicide reports
  • Sexual Assault reports
  • Child Abuse/Neglect reports
  • Dead Body reports
  • Fatal Traffic Collisions
