Criminal History Updates

Criminal History Updates are requests to have information on your LVMPD criminal record updated. This does not include reports filed, traffic incidents, or warrants.

Types of Criminal History Updates

The different types of Criminal History Updates are:

• Updating arrest/criminal citation with disposition.
  Court disposition must be attached.
• Name update/changes.
  Documentation of the name change must be attached.
• Deceased notifications.
  A death certificate must be attached.

What does not constitute a Criminal History Update

The following does not constitute a Criminal History Update:

• Sealing an arrest/citation on my record. Please refer to the Sealing Records page.
• Incorrect information on my record, information on my record not belonging to me, or identity theft. Please refer to the Records Challenge page.
• Warrant or other court-related disputes will need to be handled with the courts.

Fees and required documentation

There are no fees for this service. A legible copy or photo of a valid photo ID must be attached for a Criminal History Update.
