Vegas SafeCam aims to deter crime and enhance public safety through collaboration between the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) and the community. By registering, you agree to the following:

• Use of Footage: LVMPD may collect footage related to criminal activity for use as evidence in criminal proceedings.
• Confidentiality: Information provided through Vegas SafeCam is for official law enforcement use only and will not be shared with the public or media, except:
  • As required by law or court order.
  • To aid investigations, potentially sharing still images with law enforcement, media, or the community to help identify or apprehend suspects.
• Contact for Footage: If needed for an investigation, LVMPD may contact you using the details provided during registration.
• No Agency Relationship: Registration does not make you an agent or employee of LVMPD.
• No Direct Access: LVMPD will not access live or recorded footage directly from your cameras.
• No Special Privileges: Participation does not grant additional rights regarding police response to crime reports.
